Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, a representative from Nepal Promote Treks will greet you with a company signboard. You will then be transferred to your hotel in a private vehicle, ensuring a comfortable start to your journey.

FLY TO LUKLA (2804 METERS) TREK TO PHAKDING (2610 METERS) 3 HOURS

Your adventure begins with a scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a thrilling experience as the runway’s unique incline adds excitement to the landing. Upon arrival at Lukla (2804m), you’ll be greeted by our trekking crew, and after our luggage is loaded by porters, we begin our trek toward Phakding. The trail descends to the Dudh Koshi River, where we cross picturesque hanging bridges and pass through small villages. Along the way, we encounter Mani stones—boulders inscribed with Buddhist prayers. The trek is relatively easy, offering beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. After passing through the village of Ghat (2550m), we arrive in Phakding for an overnight stay at a guesthouse, preparing for the days ahead.

TREK TO NAMCHE BAZAAR (3440 M/11,286 feet)) 5.30 HOURS

We continue our trek along the banks of the majestic Dudh Koshi River, crossing it multiple times on thrilling suspension bridges adorned with colorful prayer flags. As we enter the Sagarmatha National Park, the trail steepens, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. After a rewarding climb, we reach Namche Bazaar, famously known as the Gateway to Everest. This bustling village offers a variety of accommodations, including quality restaurants, hotels, shops, and internet cafes, making it one of the largest and most vibrant settlements along the Everest trail. Namche Bazaar is also home to a local bakery, where you can indulge in some treats. We spend the night at a guesthouse, ready for the journey ahead.

NAMCHE BAZAAR ACCLIMATIZATION DAY

On our acclimatization day, we embark on a day hike to Thame and Khumjung, the green village. This is essential for adapting to the altitude. We stay active, either trekking to Everest View Hotel (3880m) for stunning views or exploring Namche Bazaar, the bustling hub of the Everest region. Namche is home to shops, restaurants, a bakery, and a vibrant weekly market. The day also includes a visit to the Tourist Visitor Center at Sagarmatha National Park headquarters, where we learn about the region’s history, Sherpa culture, and wildlife. Gaining elevation gradually helps with acclimatization, preparing us for the challenges ahead on the Everest trail.

TREK TO TENGBOCHE MONASTERY (3860 METERS) 5 HOURS

The trek continues along the rushing glacial waters of the DudhKoshi River, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. As we ascend to 3860 meters, we reach Tengboche, home to the renowned Tengboche Monastery. The monastery is a spiritual center, with intricate wall hangings and a stunning 20-foot Buddha sculpture. Visitors can also see the Lamas' musical instruments and robes, which add to the sacred atmosphere. Depending on our trekking schedule, we may attend a prayer ceremony either in the morning or evening, offering a unique cultural experience. After a fulfilling day, we rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before continuing our journey. Overnight at a guesthouse.

TREK TO DINGBOCHE (4350 METERS) 5.30 HOURS.

From Tengboche, the trail descends to Debouche, crossing an exciting suspension bridge over the Imja Khola River. We continue uphill to Pangboche, passing thousands of Mani stones, which add to the serene beauty of the route. Our journey takes us to the charming Sherpa village of Dingboche, where we’re treated to stunning views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. To ensure proper acclimatization, we take our time, making gradual progress to avoid altitude issues. Dingboche, with its traditional Sherpa culture, offers a peaceful respite amidst the towering peaks. After a fulfilling day of trekking and stunning vistas, we rest for the night at a guesthouse, ready for the next stage of the adventure.

ACCLIMATIZE IN DINGBOCHE

We spend a second day of acclimatization in Dingboche, with an optional hike to Nangkar Tshang (5016 meters), a 3-4 hour round trip. After a delightful breakfast, we take in the magnificent views of Ama Dablam (6856m), Lhotse, and many other peaks surrounding the village. Climbing the ridge to the north provides an incredible opportunity to appreciate the grandeur of the Himalayas, including three of the world's six highest peaks: Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. To the west, towering Cholatse and Tawoche peaks stand proudly. The sights of Lobuche West, Lobuche East, and Lhotse are awe-inspiring. The panoramic views from the ridge, overlooking Dingboche's fields and pastures, are simply breathtaking.

TREK TO LOBUCHE (4910 METERS) 5 HOURS

Today, the trek takes us along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier, offering awe-inspiring views of the icy expanse. As we pass by stone memorials dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on nearby peaks, we are reminded of the region's challenges and the bravery of those who venture here. The trail steadily ascends, and we reach Lobuche at 4910 meters, a small settlement at the foot of the towering Lobuche Peak. The altitude may cause some breathing difficulties, but our pace allows for proper acclimatization. The stunning scenery and the peaceful atmosphere at Lobuche make it a memorable stop. Overnight at a guesthouse for rest before continuing our journey.

TREK TO EVEREST BASE CAMP (5365 METERS) THEN BACK TO GORAK SHEP (5180 METERS). 8 HOURS

Today is one of the most challenging and rewarding days of the trek. We hike along the rugged terrain of the Khumbu Glacier, steadily making our way to Everest Base Camp at 5365 meters. This is as close as one can get to Mount Everest without mountaineering gear, and the experience is truly awe-inspiring. From Base Camp, we have a stunning view of the Khumbu Icefall, a massive wall of ice and snow that climbers face on their way to the summit. You may even see expedition teams preparing for their ascent. After soaking in the views and the atmosphere, we retrace our steps back to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay at the guesthouse.

HIKE UP TO KALAPATTHAR (5555 METERS) EARLY IN THE MORNING AND TREK DOWN TO PERICHE (4200 METERS). 7 HOURS

Today is one of the most challenging yet incredibly rewarding days of the trek. We begin early, ascending the famous Kala Patthar, a small peak standing at 5,545 meters. Though the climb is demanding, the reward is unmatched: a breathtaking 360-degree view of the Everest massif. Mount Everest, towering at 8,848 meters, dominates the horizon, with Nuptse, Pumori, Lhotse, and other towering peaks surrounding you. After soaking in the magnificent panoramic views, we make a swift descent back to Gorak Shep, a small village at 5,180 meters, before continuing down to the tranquil village of Pheriche. Overnight at a guesthouse. The stunning mountain scenery and sense of accomplishment will remain with you forever.

TREK TO NAMCHE BAZAAR (3441 METERS) 5.30 HOURS

The trek descends from Pheriche, taking a different route through Orsho and Pangboche. Pangboche is home to the region's oldest monastery, where a legendary relic is kept—said to be the scalp and bones of a 'Yeti' or abominable snowman. Leaving the towering peaks behind, the trail continues through Tengboche Monastery at 3860 meters. Here, you can admire the beautiful surroundings before heading toward Namche Bazaar at 3441 meters. The afternoon brings a return to Namche, where the vibrant town awaits with its mix of local culture and services. After a fulfilling day of descent, you’ll stay overnight at a guesthouse, reflecting on the amazing journey.

TREK TO PHAKDING (2,640M/8,661, 6 HOURS APPROX.) HIKING DISTANCE 9KM/5.6

Leaving Namche Bazaar, we begin our descent towards Phakding, situated on the banks of the DudhKoshi River. As we make our way down, we are treated to our final views of the majestic peaks, including Everest, Lhotse, and AmaDablam. If the weather is clear, it's the perfect opportunity to capture these breathtaking landscapes in photos, as we won’t have another chance to see these towering giants again once we reach Phakding. The trail takes us through charming villages like Jorsalle and Monjo, offering glimpses into the local Sherpa culture. The peaceful journey down is a bittersweet farewell to the towering Himalayas as we prepare for the return leg of our trek.

TREK TO LUKLA (2,860M/9,383FT, 3-4 HOURS APPROX.)HIKING DISTANCE 7KM/4.3MILES:

Today marks the final stretch of our trek, with a challenging but rewarding journey from Phakding to Lukla. We begin by descending and then climb 600 feet to reach our destination in Lukla. While following the same route back, the scenery appears fresh and different, offering a new perspective on the open plains, rhododendron, and pine forests, all framed by distant snow-capped peaks. We pass through Sherpa villages, where the strong presence of Buddhism is evident in the prayer stones and colorful flags. Upon reaching Lukla, we take a moment to reflect on the incredible experiences of the past weeks, stretch our tired legs, and celebrate a successful trek, grateful for the adventure and safe return.

FLY LUKLA TO KATHMANDU

After our long and rewarding mountain journey, we take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, we have the day to relax and unwind at our hotel. For those looking to bring home some authentic Nepalese gifts, a visit to the local shops or a stroll through Thamel is a great way to find souvenirs for friends and family. To commemorate the successful completion of our trek, we gather for a farewell dinner at a Nepali restaurant, where we can choose from a menu filled with carefully crafted dishes that showcase the rich flavors of Nepalese cuisine. It’s a perfect way to end our adventure, and we spend the night in Kathmandu, reflecting on our incredible journey.

FREE DAY TO EXPLORE MORE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE KATHMANDU VALLEY AND 60 M MASSAGE

Enjoy a free day to explore Kathmandu at your own pace or join us for an optional city tour. The tour will likely include a visit to the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square or the ancient city of Bhaktapur, both rich in cultural heritage. The rest of the day is yours to either shop for unique souvenirs or simply relax and unwind before your journey home. For those looking to indulge, a 60-minute massage is available to soothe your muscles after the trek. Please note, this day also serves as a buffer for any delays from Lukla due to inclement weather, ensuring a smooth and stress-free return.

FULL DAY SIGHTSEEING TOUR IN KATHMANDU

After breakfast, we begin our day with a visit to Swayambhunath Stupa, one of the most revered Buddhist chaityas, dating back over 2,000 years. Perched atop a hill 77m above the Kathmandu Valley, it offers panoramic views of the city. Recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site, it holds great significance for both Hindus and Buddhists. Legend says that the valley was once a lake, and Swayambhunath was the first exit. From here, we drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square, an ancient royal palace complex, filled with temples dedicated to various Hindu gods. After an hour at Durbar Square, we head to Boudhanath Stupa, a center of Tibetan Buddhism, followed by a visit to Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Our final stop is Bhaktapur Durbar Square, known for its beautiful pagoda-style temples and 55-window palace. We return to Thamel for free time shopping before an overnight stay at the hotel.

DEPARTURE

The journey concludes today! It's time to exchange emails with fellow travelers and organize photos. If time allows, we can explore more or indulge in some shopping. A representative from Nepal Promote Treks & Expedition will drop us off at the airport about three hours before our flight. On our way home, we’ll have time to reminisce and start planning our next adventure in beautiful Nepal. Important Note: Flights to Kathmandu are typically scheduled in the morning due to afternoon wind conditions, but delays may occur due to weather or other factors beyond our control.

HIKE UP TO KALAPATTHAR (5555 METERS) EARLY IN THE MORNING AND TREK DOWN TO PERICHE (4200 METERS). 7 HOURS

Today is one of the most challenging yet incredibly rewarding days of the trek. We begin early, ascending the famous Kala Patthar, a small peak standing at 5,545 meters. Though the climb is demanding, the reward is unmatched: a breathtaking 360-degree view of the Everest massif. Mount Everest, towering at 8,848 meters, dominates the horizon, with Nuptse, Pumori, Lhotse, and other towering peaks surrounding you. After soaking in the magnificent panoramic views, we make a swift descent back to Gorak Shep, a small village at 5,180 meters, before continuing down to the tranquil village of Pheriche. Overnight at a guesthouse. The stunning mountain scenery and sense of accomplishment will remain with you forever.

TREK TO NAMCHE BAZAAR (3441 METERS) 5.30 HOURS

The trek descends from Pheriche, taking a different route through Orsho and Pangboche. Pangboche is home to the region's oldest monastery, where a legendary relic is kept—said to be the scalp and bones of a 'Yeti' or abominable snowman. Leaving the towering peaks behind, the trail continues through Tengboche Monastery at 3860 meters. Here, you can admire the beautiful surroundings before heading toward Namche Bazaar at 3441 meters. The afternoon brings a return to Namche, where the vibrant town awaits with its mix of local culture and services. After a fulfilling day of descent, you’ll stay overnight at a guesthouse, reflecting on the amazing journey.

TREK TO PHAKDING (2,640M/8,661, 6 HOURS APPROX.) HIKING DISTANCE 9KM/5.6

Leaving Namche Bazaar, we begin our descent towards Phakding, situated on the banks of the DudhKoshi River. As we make our way down, we are treated to our final views of the majestic peaks, including Everest, Lhotse, and AmaDablam. If the weather is clear, it's the perfect opportunity to capture these breathtaking landscapes in photos, as we won’t have another chance to see these towering giants again once we reach Phakding. The trail takes us through charming villages like Jorsalle and Monjo, offering glimpses into the local Sherpa culture. The peaceful journey down is a bittersweet farewell to the towering Himalayas as we prepare for the return leg of our trek.

TREK TO LUKLA (2,860M/9,383FT, 3-4 HOURS APPROX.)HIKING DISTANCE 7KM/4.3MILES:

Today marks the final stretch of our trek, with a challenging but rewarding journey from Phakding to Lukla. We begin by descending and then climb 600 feet to reach our destination in Lukla. While following the same route back, the scenery appears fresh and different, offering a new perspective on the open plains, rhododendron, and pine forests, all framed by distant snow-capped peaks. We pass through Sherpa villages, where the strong presence of Buddhism is evident in the prayer stones and colorful flags. Upon reaching Lukla, we take a moment to reflect on the incredible experiences of the past weeks, stretch our tired legs, and celebrate a successful trek, grateful for the adventure and safe return.

FLY LUKLA TO KATHMANDU

After our long and rewarding mountain journey, we take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, we have the day to relax and unwind at our hotel. For those looking to bring home some authentic Nepalese gifts, a visit to the local shops or a stroll through Thamel is a great way to find souvenirs for friends and family. To commemorate the successful completion of our trek, we gather for a farewell dinner at a Nepali restaurant, where we can choose from a menu filled with carefully crafted dishes that showcase the rich flavors of Nepalese cuisine. It’s a perfect way to end our adventure, and we spend the night in Kathmandu, reflecting on our incredible journey.

FREE DAY TO EXPLORE MORE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE KATHMANDU VALLEY AND 60 M MASSAGE

Enjoy a free day to explore Kathmandu at your own pace or join us for an optional city tour. The tour will likely include a visit to the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square or the ancient city of Bhaktapur, both rich in cultural heritage. The rest of the day is yours to either shop for unique souvenirs or simply relax and unwind before your journey home. For those looking to indulge, a 60-minute massage is available to soothe your muscles after the trek. Please note, this day also serves as a buffer for any delays from Lukla due to inclement weather, ensuring a smooth and stress-free return.

FULL DAY SIGHTSEEING TOUR IN KATHMANDU

After breakfast, we begin our day with a visit to Swayambhunath Stupa, one of the most revered Buddhist chaityas, dating back over 2,000 years. Perched atop a hill 77m above the Kathmandu Valley, it offers panoramic views of the city. Recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site, it holds great significance for both Hindus and Buddhists. Legend says that the valley was once a lake, and Swayambhunath was the first exit. From here, we drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square, an ancient royal palace complex, filled with temples dedicated to various Hindu gods. After an hour at Durbar Square, we head to Boudhanath Stupa, a center of Tibetan Buddhism, followed by a visit to Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Our final stop is Bhaktapur Durbar Square, known for its beautiful pagoda-style temples and 55-window palace. We return to Thamel for free time shopping before an overnight stay at the hotel.

DEPARTURE

The journey concludes today! It's time to exchange emails with fellow travelers and organize photos. If time allows, we can explore more or indulge in some shopping. A representative from Nepal Promote Treks & Expedition will drop us off at the airport about three hours before our flight. On our way home, we’ll have time to reminisce and start planning our next adventure in beautiful Nepal. Important Note: Flights to Kathmandu are typically scheduled in the morning due to afternoon wind conditions, but delays may occur due to weather or other factors beyond our control.
